piCAN-RFID Station CAN-Bus

RFID Reader with CAN

RFID (NFC) access system for stations

Long range 13.56MHz RFID NFC reader for access control and object identification. The RFID reader is programmable and inexpensive.

Description

The RFID reader piCAN-RFID is used to read and write to RFID cards with a working frequency of 13.56 MHz. The NFC standard (Near Field Communication) is supported through the use of the latest RFID reading technology. The RFID antenna integrated into the device has a range of at least 3 cm.

Two digital inputs enable the connection and evaluation of e.g. door sensors. The dual 12V / 750mA outputs enable the connection of up to two LEDs. The integrated PWM drivers can be used, for example, to regulate the LED brightness of locker lighting. A CANOpen interface is used for external communication with the RFID device. The 12V power supply is provided via the standardized CAN bus.

Thanks to the integrated microcontroller, the device can be configured and programmed according to the application.
