Description

The IPC piA-SF is a panel PC based on the piA-AM335x-PM processor module (ARM® Cortex™-A8 architecture) with a 10.1" multi-touch display, continuous real glass front and LED backlighting. The computer is fanless and ensures continuous operation at a temperature of up to +60 ° C. In addition to Ethernet, RS485 and USB, the system allows data exchange via CAN/CANOpen as well as wirelessly via mobile radio or WLAN.

The sustainability of the system is underlined by the use of Linux. As an alternative to the preconfigured Ångström base system, any Linux distribution with ARMv7 support (e.g. Debian, Poky) can be set up. A cross-compiler SDK (C/C++, QT, various libraries) is available for developing your own applications.
Due to the architectural proximity to the widespread Beagleboards, countless code examples and documentation from a large developer community can be accessed.


A performance upgrade is possible by replacing the processor module.
